HOW TO ADD MORE COLOUR TO YOUR WARDROBE

Colour can be such a fun way to express yourself and to keep up with fashion trends. Here are a few ideas to incorporate more colour into your wardrobe.Colourful Wardrobe

  • Colour blocking – To colour block an outfit you would wear one colour, say a purple shirt with purple accessories, on the top half of your body then you choose another colour, like a red skirt and belt, on the bottom half. Ensure the colours are complementary.
  • Monochromatic outfit – This is a fun method of wearing one colour entirely but using different shades of it to create interest and flow. Creating an ombré effect with dark shades on the bottom gradually getting lighter on top or vice versa. Replicating a gradient of the colour.
  • Pop of colour – you can take a neutral outfit, like jeans and a white t-shirt and spice it up with some red accessories and a red lip. This is a quick and effective way to add interest to an otherwise simple outfit. Great option for when you are in a hurry but still want to look on point!
  • Follow what’s on trend – every year there is a colour scheme announced by the main players in the colour game; Pantone, Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore. This will give you a clear idea of the colours that are coming in for the year to come. From those colours try on the ones that resonate with you and that compliment your skin and hair tone.
